| At last, Maryanne is working and we have some spare cash to spoil ourselves. Kyles frined Geoff is currently in India for 3 months, and we all agreed we would meet up and travel together for a while. Maryanne had already been to india to celebrate her sisters 18th Birthday - a beach vacation in Goa. This trip was to be short (just 10 days), and we planned to visit a big chunk of the southern/western base of India - starting with Mumbai, travelling inland and then south to Kerala (Nicknamed as one of the "10 paradises of the world" by the National Geographic traveller). Kerala is in the "backwaters" region of India: an extensive network of interlocking rivers, lakes, and canals, known as the "Venice of the East". The route home to the USA took us via Frankfurt and Switzerland (so we had an unexpected Fondu before finally returning back to "normal" life) |
